Alumni Reception in New Orleans 8/12/08

There is still time to book your place for the alumni reception
in the Sheraton New Orleans on 8 December 2008 from 7.30pm
to 9.30pm. This is event is being held in conjunction with

International Alumni Chapters

The Alumni Office is launching an International Alumni Chapter
Network. Alumni Chapters provide graduates with fantastic
opportunities to network, socialise, assist their local communities,
and recruit top students to LSHTM. We will establish Chapters
in regions/cities with high concentrations of LSHTM graduates.

LSHTM News: How clean are your hands?

The Dirty Hands Study was published for the first ever Global
Handwashing Day on 15 October 2008. The study swabbed commuters'
hands in six UK cities with a view to comparing who had the

Learning Technologists of the Year Awards: LSHTM team commended

The Learning Technology Team at LSHTM has been commended
at the Learning Technologist of the Year Awards 2008. The
Team was commended for developing online courses for use in
developing countries and for enhancing the School's capacity
to produce further online courses of this kind. Read more

News from the Development Office

The Development Office is working to create a $20 million
Scholarship Endowment Fund to help build partnerships in developing
countries and to improve health worldwide. Scholarships open
up new opportunities at the local, national and international
levels and through them achieve a multiplier effect which
can have an impact on the lives of millions across of the
world. If you would like more information regarding Development,
